Kim Alexander Camandona
With her unique movement and style, Kim has evolved into an exciting performer, teacher and choreographer. She enjoys sharing her journey through dance with her students.
Her performance credits include performing with recording artist Kristine W. on her "Clubland Tour" and for M.A.C. cosmetics on the "VivaGlam World Tour". Assistant choreographer to choreographer, Jermaine Browne, working with recording artists Deborah Cox and Crystal Waters. Kim has participated in the International Dance Meeting in Italy, working with choreographers such as Michele' Assaf and Jason Parsons. She has performed and worked with choreographer’s, Dan Karaty and Ray Leeper, from the hit FOX TV show "So You Think You Can Dance".
Kim began her teaching career in New Jersey at "In the Spolight" under the direction of Tom Karaty and Candice Mancini. She is a graduate from NYU; earning her Masters Degree in Social Work. After receiving her degree she relocated to south Florida. While working at PACE Center for Girls, a gender specific day treatment program for adolescent girls, she began to fuse her education of social work with her love and knowledge of movement through the art of dance.
Kim has won numerous awards and recognition for her choreography. Her students have received high score awards at both regional, state and national competitions such as American Dance Alliance, American Dance Awards, Dance Educators of America, Legacy, National Dance Alliance and New York City Dance Alliance. Her piece “Ribbons” won the Critics Choice Award at New York City Dance Alliance. She has choreographed for both the FAU and FSU, Seminole Dance Force, college dance teams. Along with teaching at Realdance, Kim is currently the Artistic Director of the Dance Department at the North Broward Preparatory School in Coconut Creek, FL.
